Editorial & Corrections Policy
Published by Frederick M. Lehrer, P.A., a Florida professional association. How we research, source, review, and correct what appears on this site.
Publisher and Legal Entity
All content on this website is published by Frederick M. Lehrer, P.A., a Florida professional association (the "Firm"). The Firm is the responsible publisher of record for every page, article, and podcast transcript appearing at securitiesattorney1.com.
Frederick M. Lehrer is a member of The Florida Bar. The Firm has no other bar admissions and holds no federal court admissions. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim of certification, specialization, or admission beyond that.
Authorship
Every article is written by, or written under the direct supervision of, Frederick M. Lehrer. Articles are not generated autonomously by software and are reviewed by the named author before publication.
The author's relevant background — investigator at the CFTC, investigator and then enforcement attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 1984 through 2000, and Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida from 1997 through 1999 — informs the analysis but does not substitute for legal advice on your facts.
Sourcing and Citation Standard
Articles cite primary law wherever a legal proposition is stated. Each article closes with an "Authoritative Sources" list linking to the statute, rule, form, or agency release it relies on.
- ›Statutes are cited to the United States Code or the official compilation on govinfo.gov.
- ›Rules are cited to the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR), which reflects the current text.
- ›Agency positions are cited to SEC releases, staff guidance, Compliance and Disclosure Interpretations, or litigation releases published by the Commission.
- ›Judicial holdings are cited to the published opinion.
- ›Secondary commentary, marketing material, and unattributed sources are not used to establish a legal proposition.
Accuracy and Review Cycle
Securities rules and staff interpretations change. Articles carry a publication date and are reviewed when a cited rule is amended, a cited release is withdrawn or superseded, or a reader reports an error. Where an article describes law that has since changed, the Firm updates the text rather than leaving a stale statement in place.
Automated checks run against the site on every build to confirm that credential statements, career dates, and structured data match the Firm's verified record.
Corrections Policy
The Firm corrects material errors of law or fact promptly. To report one, email the Firm with the page URL and the passage at issue.
- ›Material corrections: the text is fixed and a dated correction note is added to the article.
- ›Non-material corrections (typography, formatting, dead links): fixed without a note.
- ›Superseded law: the passage is rewritten and the citation replaced with the current authority.
- ›Retraction: if an article cannot be corrected, it is withdrawn and the URL explains why rather than disappearing silently.
Independence and Advertising
The Firm does not accept payment, sponsorship, guest posts, or link placements in exchange for editorial coverage. No article is written to promote a third party's product or offering.
This website is attorney advertising under the rules of The Florida Bar. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome, and no content here creates an attorney-client relationship.
Artificial Intelligence
Software may assist with formatting, proofreading, and internal linking. Legal analysis, conclusions, and citations are the work of the named author and are verified against primary sources before publication.
